Mods for a 96

I have a 96 7.3 completly stock to include the original pancake downpipe. This is now my play truck since my purchase of my 13 f150 eb screw. I have hesitated to do any mods since the truck has been so reliable but I can't see a downpipe, the removal of the cat and an intake causing any harm. Any thoughts to which downpipe and cold air intake to go with. Also thinking about a mod to the turbo.

I'd go with a diamond eye turbo back system. Either 4 or 5 inch system, whatever you want. 6637 is a cheap, good, but noisy intake. If you like to hear the turbo, the 6637 is the way to go. If you want it quieter, a different intake like s&b would be the way to go. I'd gut the ebpv if you do exhaust, my opinion of course.

What do you want to do to the turbo? Different exhaust housing?

For those that are using a 2 piece downpipe, where do you source the 'band' type clamp? The style recommended over the U bolt type that makes pulling the pieces apart difficult.

You can buy them just about anywhere, napa, carquest, O'Reillys, ebay, amazon, summit, jegs, etc etc... I prefer the stepped type (id/od) over strait..
