Specs in Siggie, with 31X10.50X15 tires. A miserable 8 MPG. I am trying to improve this as I write (tune-up, TPS sensor, air filter, cleaning of fuel system, clean Throttle Body, and anything else I can think of), but I have little hope. I've read that this is about normal.

Problem is, they are honest.

'Bought the same here. 7-8 mpg on my 94 5.8/E4OD/F250/4X4.

Also have an 84 F150 2WD with 351W/C6 and an Edelbrock 1406 on a
performer manifold with Hooker long tube headers. Barely 15 mpg on the highway.

I have felt something is wrong for a while now...I'm looking for the solution... could be a new(er) truck, maybe...perhaps...wish I didn't like this one as much as I do, it would be easier.

I have a 93 F250 351W extended cab long bed semi aggressive tires. I was getting about 6 MPG around town but then i changed my exhaust from stock (Orignal Cat) to a 3" stainless High flow cat and muffler and my last tank I was getting 12 MPG around town i dont know highway because that truck does not go too far on the highway (not its fault just dont want to spend that kinda dough on fuel)

yeah my problem might be the massive cam, re-tuned ecu, or maybe the 130 lbs of rotating mass I have on each corner. I also would never take the bus ... what if it gets hit by a truck like mine? I would be killed instantly in such a small vehicle. lol.

Well thats what I have!!

'96 F250 4X4 460,C6, 4.10's, std cab, long bed, 235/85R16 rubber, 61k miles.

Running empty, driving easy I can get 8.0 to 8.5 mpg.

Towing medium weight trailer (4000-6000lb) pulls down to the 6's

Plowing snow drops me into the 5's

Todd
