Thanks for updating your build thread. I always liked that your truck built in a home garage. You have every aspect of modification covered from tilt hood to chopping. this thread covers so many fabs how can you help but love it!
On your gas tank, since we have the same I believe, what did you do for your sending unit? The only difference is i have that stock flathead in mine and not sure what to do, my research has only lead me so far. Thank you.
I have a gas tank out of Jeep Cherokee not the original Ford behind the seat. I installed the Dakota Digital VHX guages. The 2 wires from the existing fuel sending unit can be used and are connected, as the manual states, different ohms settings to match your tank. You can use the settings based on the standard tanks they list. Check Dakota digital Manual for this application.
Basha's Cruise-In Friday evenings
Thanks for the comment. I am usually at the following Cruise-in's every weekend with my F1: Saturday at "K-Mart" (closed) located at E. Hampton Ave and S. Power in Mesa and Friday at Basha's located on E. Apache Trail in Apache Junction. Stop buy and check out all the cool rides.
Go to Home Depot and buy some White board. Trace your opening and cut the white board to fit. I did that method for all the windows except the rear which is stock.
Something else to consider when going the full window route is the wing window. The new one piece window may drop out of track where the wing window was removed. This is the way I added a track for the "new" window to follow.
