Alternator is PITA

I still can't get the damn thing off. Snapped the head off the bolt (48 inch breaker bar). I thought the alternator would just slide right off but its fused to the bolt. It would take one hell of a bolt extractor to get that out

Same thing happened to me. After many treatments with PB blaster and no results, the gas wrench worked wonders. Too much electrolysis between the aluminum alternator and the steel bolt. Went back with plenty of antiseize.
