up pipe leaking

So as some of you have read I am totally new here. I just purchased a 96 F350 7.3 and its my 1st diesel.

I thought the exhaust manifold was leaking but upon further inspection its the up pipe right where it connects to the manifold. I can't afford new up pipes right now. Is there a gasket I can purchase? I was looking around and found a del pro 8194 but from the looks of it they fit the SD not the OBS.

Fel-Pro 8194 Up-pipe Gasket Set - Riffraff Diesel Performance

Looks like the right ones to me. But, like said in the add, it is a temporary fix at best.

Are you saying that its leaking where the up-pipe connects to the manifold? There is no gasket there. If there is a leak there, the only options are to try to tighten the bolts or replace the pipe. I know its a chunk of cash but Riffraff's bellowed pipes are the right choice. Riffraff Diesel Bellowed Up-pipe Kit 94-Early 99 - Riffraff Diesel Performance

yes its leaking right where the exhaust manifold and the up pipe connect. I will try and tighten it up. I am going to start saving for bellowed up pipes but can't do it now

It is possible to build your own up pipes for probably around 100 bucks but you have to have the time and facilities to do it.... and a stainless steel capable welder. I and a few other guys here have built our own

Never asked this question, sorry for the momentary jack OP.. Can those uppies be installed w/out pulling the tranny or anything major?

I pulled the tranny when i did mine.... much easier than trying to get up around the tranny getting bolts in and out and trying to squeeze a large pipe into a small opening.
