Damn crappy Oriellys injectors

Well fellers, I hauled a load to Carville Louisiana, bout 20 miles South of Baton Rouge. Coming into Lake Charles on I10 right before the big f'in bridge my truck jumps acouple hundred rpm, starts loosing speed and power the a definite injector knock appears, I was too far to turn back and actually too far to keep going so I kept going. I'm sitting here now waiting to get into the plant, the plan is to get unloaded, drive 10 miles to the nearest oriellys change the injector in the parking lot and make a 305 mile b line for Houston. What a night. A 5 hour trip turned into 7.

I'll keep yall posted

They're cheaper than the crap ones, especially when you count the labor of doing it multiple times.
Even with the cheap BWD ones from O'Smileys it's $280, the expensive Delphi ones are almost 500.

I replaced all 8 injectors this summer. 215k miles on the engine and the original injectors. Bought NEW STANADYNE injectors from Gomers US Diesel service for about $47.00 each. Rebuilds were only $4.00 cheaper. Having my ORIGINAL IP rebuilt was $500.00. So far real happy. Except for the oil cooler blowing apart which is current project. This is my 1st Diesel and I have done almost all the wrenching myself. Its fun to learn more and get to buy more toys oops tools also.

86 6.9 diesel

Which of these injectors would you pick for an 86 6.9 diesel, supposedly 130,000 mile old farm truck:

BDW/IENHOFF

or

AUTOLINE which requires an install kit

Which is the better between the 2?

BWD/IENHOFF is Reman

AUTOLINE doesn't say.

Neither. Go with R+D, or brand new Delphi's. If you don't, and choose to go with anyone or anything else, well, that's your fault and your problem when they stop working right.

Appreciate the replies

I asked because I found a closeout on the 2 and wanted to know if it was a bargain.
Now I know they're not.
Thanks
