I'm somewhat new here and have been researching to get into an F250/350 SD but my wife is having some medical issues and I have been rethinking my position. She would have a terrible time getting into a big p/u but maybe not so much an suv. I don't have a real need for weight carrying but do travel to Fla.(family there at least 2 times a year and I need something large enough to streach out in while driving and I'd like to have the diesel so my mileage isn't so bad. Anyone have suggestions on the large suvs and specifically
1. What NOT to look at.
2. what to look out for.
3. The best years to check out (I am fan of 7.3 but that may be too old)
Any help out there would be greatly appreciated.

 

You may want to post in the correct forum, Expeditions don't have a diesel option.

 

You may find better luck posting in an Excursion forum and asking some of those owners their thoughts. I know I was looking for a Diesel Excursion for a short while but found better pricing on Expeditions. Still kind of wish I pulled the trigger on a Diesel Excursion, they definitely hold their value (diesel models).
