Paid 2.92 for diesel

$3.25 for diesel and $3.05 for gas here in Nor-Cal. Mind you, this isnt bay area Nor-Cal. I'm 5 hours north of there.
I actually had to take time to look at the price today so I could comment. I buy fuel or gas every day but I never look since it wont change whether or not I need to buy it...

We love to complain but when I hear about europe prices per liter I always feel better.
Also, in the USA we don't get taxed for big engines so we can have 7.3 liters!

Still nearly $1.00 / gallon difference here. $2.49 vs. $3.45, or thereabouts. The d@mn radio news-twits are falling all over each other about how this is The Best Christmas EVAR because GASOLINE is gonna be cheap enough to start flowing out of public toilets pretty soon. Well it's (supposedly) based on increased CRUDE production, and the falling price of CRUDE, which is the SAME CRUDE that makes OUR fuel!!! Where's our Christmas?

In Maine I've got Diesel @ 3.17 down the road and gas @ 2.51...
Nossliw is on the money..
+ the US currently has no market for its crude besides Canada..
Globaly our supply has outpaced our demand..
Im in the oil moving buisness in NY, we move Bakken crude from Albany to NYC..
Word on the street is that the mothballed HOVENSA/OLD HESS refinery in STX (im a former employee) is in the infint stages of being aquired in hopes to refine dirty crude, for what market i dont know...
I dont think we as oil burners will ever be extatic over the price of diesel/gallon again...
