Extended Cab Seat vs Regular

Hello all,

I have realized finding a nice bench seat out of an extended cab is difficult. I found a really nice bench out of a regular cab though. Is it possible to take the material and foam from the regular cab bench and swap them on to my extended cab bench frame?

Thanks!

The problem is... a Supercab has a split back on the bench. The reg cab is a Solid back

Well that sucks...can the seat back be removed from the seat bottom? Like, can I put the extended cab seat back on a regular can base?

just bolt the whole seat in.do you need the back to be split? i scored a decent bench locally for $40 from a SC truck to toss into log truck.wrong color but i don't care.it's soft. this means,at one time or another, all 3 of my 9th gen trucks iv owned, all had split back supercab benches at one time or another........whatever works.

I mean, I kinda bought the extended cab so that I could have a back seat haha.

But assuming my seat backs are fine, can I use just the foam and cloth from the regular cab bench on my seat bottom?

you do know the seat will still tilt forward even if it's a full back right? you'll still have the same access the to the rear.....you just have to get out to let kids in/out each time where as with a split, you could sit still and let the passenger get out,and tilt just that side.........i don't see how this is much of an issue.....as long as your not taking the kids and picking them up/dropping them off all the time.if they're going where your going, then odds are, your getting out of the truck when they are anyway,so no matter.

the seats are different.you can't swap the backs best i can tell.if you need or want the split back SC bench seat, then just keep looking for one.meanwhile bolt the bench in if it's in much better condition while you keep your eyes open for what you want.

yeah.the only bench seat that doesn't tilt is the front seat of crew cabs (understandably.)
even then, that's easily converted to tilt using the parts from a tilt (full backs only course) bench (Brad let me know this and sure enough,i was easily able to make the front cc bench i put in chip truck tilt using the parts.easy as pie.)

But aren't the floors of SuperCabs and regular cabs different? I was thinking you couldn't just bolt seats from one into the other. Or is the difference only in the center of the floor where the center section of a 40/20/40 mounts?

Yes but bench seats are interchangeable
