This may or may not help, but I had the same problem with my truck a few years back...it ended up being the pin on the PCM that carries the MAP signal. When I attached the bulk head connector at the firewall to the PCM the pin got bent provideing an intemittant connection. I straightened it with a pair of needle nose pliers and all has been good.

Same as the aluminum-foil "fix", but you tin-snip a penny to the same size as the varistor, and plug it in place of it.

See: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/4...cks-fixed.html

Just did the Turner and Will Rogers last month, and the tolls aren't all-that-bad. Unless, of course, you are spending NOTHING at all on fuel!

Thanks Pop Learned something new today and I love the fact that it costs no more then 1cent.

Jason good thing you are driving by yourself after the Del Taco.

Tim didn't mention the side effects of his recommendation...

Still no luck with MAP sensor problem. After some reading, it looks like I may have a wiring problem???

Any insight would be appreciated. I have today and tomorow to fix this problem - then I'll be paying a tech to fix it for my customer...

Feel free to call me if you have my number!!

Do you have the on-line access to wiring diagrams handy?

Did you check all of the intercooler boots to make sure they are tight?

So far a brand new MAP sensor appears to be working...

Test drive in the AM. After I change the clock spring and try to figure out why coolant temp on dash is wacky...
