Spending Money on the Ex

The wife and I are starting a light excavation company but only have the Ex for a work truck. The truck is not much to look at right now so we have decided to spruce it up a bit.

First up, just ordered these.

New header panel will be installed along with the lights. Beginning to search for a grill. A nice flat black grill.

Then, its off to get a few dents popped and some paint!

Also, gonna call Junior over at ATS for one more front leaf (over-arched) for the front packs. Tonight I will also order 4" tapered blocks for the rear.

This should put me at the equivalent of a 5-6" lift.

I gotta say... my wife ROCKS!

Picked this up today off of craigslist. $80.

Came off a Harley SD, already modified to fit '04 and earlier. Plastidipped. Booyah!

The wife instructed me to call the guy when I showed her the posting.

The tails and the third brakelight aren't really my thing... but the grills not that bad if you're sticking with the 04- bumper.

Looks good, can't wait to see the stuff installed. My wife just sent me a pic of a blacked out EX today and said she'd maybe like to do it to ours.

Sticking with stock bumper until I can afford a nice winch mount bumper, front AND back.

When you are ready to buy a great winch bumper, front and back, give the guys who built mine a look. They can be found here: HNCUSA.COM

They make some high quality stuff!

Good Luck with your project!

Yeah I always admire your front bumper when I see it. Checking out that site now. Thanks!

The pic of the third brake light doesn't include a link, is it listed as an Excursion part? All of the other ones I've seen are actually for the F-150s with similar lights but they don't fit the EX very well.

According to AutoAnything reviews, the headlights fit with a bit o header panel trimming, the tails and third light should be direct fit. Guess we shall see.

So I ordered a new trans cooler for the 6.0 today, but where is the best place to source a trans temp tap/sensor, and gauge?

Well, in answer to my own question.....

GlowShift | Black 7 Color Trans Temp Gauge with Electronic Temperature Sensor

A quick search and I found a discount code, so gauge w/ temp sensor, and single pod were $60 shipped.
