Like I said, I didn't know your situation, but congrats for your hard work and efforts to make a much better life for yourself. My wife had 10K in student loans from her Masters at Duke over 30 years ago when we got married and were working in Forestry for dirt wages. It was tough the first few years, but has gotten better over time. Hang in there and it will continue to improve for you.

My daughter has high student loans from her masters program and I could pay them off for her, but it's a lesson learned and now that she's gotten that two 12% and 13% raises in the last 6 months, that education is paying off !!!!
I tell her NOT to pay the student loan off since the interest rate is so cheap, use her money where it's better spent
