Seats for my 54 ford pick up

I need a pair of bucket seats for my truck an am not sure which ones to use. I found a pair of buckets that I thought would work on craigs list for 40 bucks I soon realized they would be more work that to just buy a better set. That being said I would appreciate any suggestions as to what kind of seats would work best. I liked the bench I had but would not work for me because I have just put a T-5 behind my 302 and it wont work with the T-5. I need some with a flat mounting surface and a narrow back any help would be greatly appreciated.

I picked up these PT Cruiser seats a couple months ago at a junk yard. Leather and suede. $100 with the seat belts. I had the weld up a bracket for the back.

I have 2006 VW Jetta seats. The driver seat is power. I like them because the back is very thin. Leaves a little more room in the cab.

I recently junked my 98 Windstar and took the seats out to use in my 48. The mounting points are level but the headrest is a little high, obscures some of the back window. But they should be an easy install with few mods. Gonna have to relocate the fuel tank though. Might use them in my 92 instead. You could probably pick a pair up for cheap from a JY.

still in the process of doing the interior but these are out of a 2013 sportage, flat mounts and no riser needed.

These seats are from a 1997 Ford Taurus. You will notice that I also have a T-5z transmission.

Sweet55-
My armrests were in the truck when I got it. If I had to guess I would say the PO bought them. They don't seem home made.
What shifter is that in your console?

I used seats from a late 90's Suburban for several reasons;
1. they were free
2. they have a removable headrest (I didn't want to the seatback blocking the back window)
3. 6 way power with lumbar
4. did I mention they were free?

No problem and thanks for the clarification, I'm not up on all the new models. I like the look of the console, I'm trying to figure out what to do myself with the 56 I'm doing now.

I know the decisions are the hardest part. This is my first old truck and I find everything thing looks good in them, keep us updated on your build.

I started this project back in April, I've only worked on the cab this far and putting it in primer now, I sprayed the epoxy primer yesterday and filled all the seams today. I plan on getting it in high build tomorrow if my back holds out. The cab was in pretty ruff shape, pics are in a gallery. https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...&albumid=44929
This is what I started with

This is it now. I've been meaning to start a build thread and may sometime over the winter.
