I have a 2013 FX4 3.55's, 5.0, 6.5 bed....rolling on 275/65/18s......188,000 miles. She's getting about 14.5MPG 25City/75 Hwy (%).......I have a SSI tune and a Diamond back 3.5 inch exhaust. Its my first full tank that I've run through. I did baby it most of the time, and even drove slow on the highway. I also added a very heavy ARE camper, had to be over 200lbs easy.
The truck is used and on the way down from dallas got 18.2mpg cruising around 65. I wanna get some new 02 sensors soon.....just because of the high miles. Maybe even a new MAF just because.

Stock, my truck was averaging 16.5mpg on the highway last summer. Added 275/70r18s just before this past winter. Was averaging 14-15 through the winter. This spring I got a great deal on a superchips programmer. This summer I was averaging 18mpg doing the same roads and at the same speed as last summer. While the shifting isn't as quick as I would like it to be when I get on the throttle, I really like the mpg boost the superchips gave my truck.

I've been thinking about putting a 5-Star tune on my 5.0L FX4 now that it's officially out of warranty.
I've only driven stock 5.0L trucks...The only thing done to mine is a Flowmaster 10 series muffler.
But from the guy's I've talked to here on this site, they seem to feel as though there's no better tune you can put on one of these trucks than the 5-Star tune.

I have 5star tune on my 11 f150 2wd supercrew. Based on the popularity on forum sites. Of the 3 tunes I got, the eco tune is only good under 45mph. The performance/tow tune(87oct) gave noticable increase in power, not huge gain, but obvious. The 93oct performance tune crashed my computer. Barely idled, shook entire truck, went to limp mode, and accelerator did not hardly function. And computer would not communicate to data log so they could find problem. They did rewrite tune and told me to try it, but it did the exact same thing. From my experience, I would use a different company. Customer service is stellar. Maybe if you have other, major mods, they can write you a good custom tune. I only have aem dry flow drop in, and muffler delete.

I realize this is an old thread but. I'm running the Omega tune from Oz tuning and it's fantastic. One tune for all grades including E85. Throttle response and shifting are greatly improved. I no longer use sport mode. No need. My mileage also went up (as long as you keep your right foot off the go pedal). I'm running 33's with the 3.31 rear and I have no problem spinning the tires and I can make them bark when it hits 2nd gear. I am now at 91K miles with absolutely no issues.
