Its the Jasper part I was referring to.
Had to have mine rebuilt under warranty, then just a few months later it broke again. I got a rebuilt one from Summit Transmission and no problems since.

A lot of the stock E4ODs didn't even make it out of warranty(36k). When the 4r100 came out(1999) the replacement E4ODs got a TON of upgrades.

Also I was referring to Jasper as well. Not know for their quality. I have a 95 truck with a 5 speed . It got a jasper rebuild @ 170k, another at 185k then a brand new ZF5 @190k and no problems since

Welcome to FTE. And the best of the forums that are on it. There is so much combined experience here. They do love to spend your money though. But you will want to spend it plenty fast now that you have the bug.

Glow pugs aren't bad to do. And the relay is real easy. Trust me you want to get those fixed rather than depending on the block heater. DC is available but sometimes AC is hard to find. Full set of plugs is under 100. Add valve cover gaskets at 25ish x2 (at least that is what I paid). Definitely worth it.
