I put in 3 gallons of white vinegar and let is sit for about 4 days, after I dumped that out I put in some baking soda to kill the acid and washed it out. It cleaned it pretty good but there was still some shiny, slimy crap that would not come out so tonight I put some acetone in it and cleaned it with a parts brush attached to a small pvc pipe. Still working on it but it is starting to look real nice inside; tank had been sitting unused for 23 years.

Got some sheet metal added and gas tank back in. Thinking about pulling trans and bolting it to motor for an easier install or would it make any difference?

Good progress. I like having the trans on the motor prior to installing... But depends on your lift and if you have some extra hands.

Ok,going to do that. Have the trans out and got it cleaned up; that was a mess. My brake system is all new except the brake lines. When getting the trans out I noticed that they were about to break in half at the junction block, do will be installing new stainless ones before the week is over.

Some small things before engine goes back; core support rust repair.

Got the elusive 66 brake dist block thanks to Flashback F-100's.

Got flywheel resurfaced at Car Quest.

Need to see what this engine is doing, so I added some gauges.

Cleaned it up some on interior.

Core support is next.

It has lights! Electricity is flowing for the first time in 25 years.

Troublesome core support; now having difficulty lining up 66 inner fender with C S.

Truck looks amazing! I just purchased a truck that looks almost exactly the same as yours. The Raven Black/Red interior is a great combo. Look forward to watching this build progress.
