Excursion Camper!!

The wife and I have been wanting to go camping on the beach with the Excursion (Freeman Park, NC) so I pulled the 2 mattress from the bunkhouse of our travel trailer and they fit perfect in the back with the 3rd row seat removed. Now to get a weekend to go try it out!!

I sleep in mine all the time from fall through mid spring. It's perfect for one niter's. It also comes in handy if its going to rain the last night/day of a week of tent camping. I strike the(canvas)tent so that I don't have to pitch it again when I get home due to it being wet. Give it a try, you will love it. The Ex makes excellent sleeping quarters.

Before this fall I bought a Silver Eagle M1102 with a cover for times they are calling for a week of cold messy weather. I fire up the Three Dog Stove inside and stay warm and toasty and also have a place to fix warm meals and hot coffee.

Most of the time when the wife goes, I have to drag her travel trailer along. Yes, she's a tad bit spoiled...lol.

I've used mine to camp before a few times, a full size futon mattress fits in the back perfectly!

I have lived in mine, over winter, in Wyoming/Utah. You can make it pretty comfy back there with a cheapo futon mattress on the deck and a few moving pads strung up to hold in heat.

Nice! I'll have to do that. I use a self inflating mat under a sleeping bag in the back for camping.

Preaching to this Choir on that one...

Went down to Twg66's place this time last year, threw a matress from a futon in the back and had an amazing night's sleep.

Another reason why I love my Excursion

I spend many nights per year in my truck. A full size mattress fits perfectly in the back.
