I got the control and cable for my 64 f250 off EBay last month. I also saw a few at the auto yards around Portland Oregon.

^^I realize that they might not be the right one, I should have said, I see them on EBay for those years all the time, and I have seen the 60's style trucks at several auto salvage yards. At no point was I trying to sell mine, I need it for my truck. My intent was to put another tool in the toolbox, per se, that the local salvage yards and most of all EBay plus Amazon have had plenty of parts I have been looking for.

Mis-marked.

This is a heater blower switch for a car. Is there a number marked on the bottom or other side?

Qwist on a bicycle, you would think that someone that sells Ford obsolete parts would know the difference between a switch like this and the truck switch that comes with the cable.

That wrong switch is a similar switch like I have in my 65 Falcon and is in a 65 Mustang as well. Early Falcons (like my 63) have a similar switch/cable assembly as the truck. Off/Lo/Hi - though the truck (my 66 anyway) uses an external resistor for the motor and the Falcon uses a two-speed motor. Not sure what the 65 has for the motor. May have the same 3-wire as my 65 Falcon. Switch still has 3 connectors on both. Anyway, you might want to look at them for a potential replacement.

I know the cable and **** might be different, but I think you can get a replacement **** with a set-screw. Just a potential option.

Just got off the phone with NOS Parts, very nice people. They are going to give me a refund on the part, down side is they do not have any others, nor can I find one. Anyone have any idea where I can look? One of the last parts I need to complete the restoration...

Thanks,
Jim
