That is probably B20 (20% Biodiesel). At retail B20 is not taxed by the state in Oregon, about 25 cents a gallon. I am willing to bet there are a lot of stations selling B20 and not dropping the price down. The last Shell I stopped at had a good price but no sticker on the pump for the bio %. I asked the attendant and he didn't know what bio diesel was.

It is B20 fuel. Typically it is around .10 cheaper then other stations and it is clearly marked at the pump. My truck seems to love it so I keep buying it.

It loves it because of the lubricating properties of bio fuel.

Price here is within about $.05 of regular gas, right around $2.40 a gallon.

Every time I see discussions on gas/petroleum prices I think of the fuel shortages/rationing and long lines of the 70's and 80's. My job at that time was hideing barge loads of gas/oil/diesel in every canal or piece of water it could be stuck into. THERE WAS NO FUEL SHORTAGE, simply a method to get the price up where they wanted it.
Probably wasn't an empty storage tank in the country.

I can belive it. I actually remember when I started driving it was way less then 1 buck a gallon--then in mid to late 90s I would moan about 1.10 a gallon for race fuel for my dirt cars lol.

I started driving when it was $0.559 gal and NO unleaded fuel.
I also recall being very pissed off when it went from $0.649
to over $0.70

I have avgas receipts for $ 0.42 for 80/87 before the so called shortage. I also have pictures of the full tankers lined up in Del and Chesapeake bays when there was supposed to be no fuel.

$2.39 here now Avgas is $4.25

I see diesel around that in Lake Worth/ White Settlement. Aledo and Northlake jack up the prices on the interstate. Wal Mart is $1.94 for 87 at Clifford and 820.

Right now the 2 stations nearby are $2.09 but the others are $2.19-$2.27. Not good. The trend is they're going up. The other stations soon to follow I'm sure. I'm filling tomorrow before the jump. I should be able to squeeze in 110 gallon.
Price dropped again! $2.07 now.
