I'm a bit late but.....
Hey, I know this thread has been inactive since April but......
1953 Ford F100 Deluxe Cab
My name is Zach and I'm a 19 year old college student in Wisconsin. My love of Ford trucks came about when I was 16, my Dad and I were on our way to a Car Show that was farther than we would usually travel for Shows. We had only gone about 15 miles from home when all of a sudden my Dad pulls over and says to me...."You wanna drive?". I was suddenly filled with dread as a hopped out of the Cab and moved to the drivers side. I had barely driven an automatic vehicle before, let alone a manual classic! But I was quickly told that if I knew how to make an "H", Stomp on the Floor (for 4th in Overdrive) and could keep between two lines on a very straight road I could do it. And you know what? The joy and pride that I felt driving this blue american beauty down the rural roads of Wisconsin was enough to make me say: "You know what, I could get used to this sort of thing." Of course we've had many adventures together since, but this is where I believe it began for me.
Thanks! -Zach

I just turned 22 last month, I spend most of my time on the 73 - 79 forum, I think this is my first post here.
After I'm done building my 1979 F100, I hope to start a re-rebuild on my '55 F250, I say re-rebuild because it's been sitting about 10 years after my father and I started a rebuild on it. It currently has a 360FE and C6 combo right now. The trucks got a very solid body but needs a good going over.
Not sure what the plans are going to be for it, either a stock-ish resto or something wild, I like the idea of build a no-nonsense work truck out of it, and I have a IDI powered F-superduty for a donor truck that could help make that happen.

I'm 22 years old and live in Oklahoma. I wish I could say I have an old truck like I've seen in these posts, but the oldest one I have is only a 1981 F100.
I fell I love with these older trucks around 12 when my dad and I went to the local city auction and bought the ol 81 for $250. I've had my eye on listings for these older trucks just waiting till I have a better job so I can buy a 50's era truck and restore it to make a daily driver.

Welcome to FTE, the best Ford truck site on the World Wide Web!
To a 22 year old a 1981 truck is real old. I was 22 when I bought my 54 from Grandpa in 1977. So my truck was only 23 years old whereas your 81 is a lot older!
Stick around, tell us where you are from and a truck will pop up.

Right now the F3 is in the body work phase at a body shop. Patchwork is done and will be painted soon. Yes I have pictures of it on my build log titled 50 F3 build log. Not going to start on the F6 till the F3 is done.
As for the beast I want to move the rear axle forward to a 122" wheelbase and either find (very unlikely) a F2/F3 box and widen the fenders or fabricate a custom box that looks period correct with F2/F3 rear fenders. Plan is to keep everything else original. I know this will involve a lot of modification but I think it will look cool. I'll get pictures of the truck this weekend. Has the 254 M series.
