There are a lot of videos on Youtube. I like this one. Note the spray pattern as it cleans.

That settles it, fuel problem. You may also want to check the injectors for actuation using a mechanics stethoscope.

Yes.

Really thought Conanski had it nailed with the wiring harness, but sounds like you used the original harness to the truck.

What I would do at this point is hot wire the ignition, and run it briefly. I looked at the wiring diagrams in the Haynes manual and I wouldn't even know how to hot wire this thing. Subford or conanski care to provide that information in case the OP wants to try that?

Does the engine harness have the same number of wires in it as the chassis harness in your truck? And jjust to be clear I'm talking about wires not pin positions in the connectors. In other words are there any extra wires in the engine harness that don't have anything to connect to on the engine side?
If so you have a MAF harness on that motor and that won't work.

ok, I used the harness for the 95 motor but the original harness for the engine bay(94). Both the 95 and the original 94 engine harness have the same number of wires and in the same place as each other.
I'll try to check the injectors for operation instead of just signal with a noid light. I'll also try a little gas in the intake to see if it will run longer.
I'll repost after i try this.
thanks for the suggestions.

Ok fellas, I put it back together and squirted some gas down the intake and it started and ran for 2 or 3 seconds. So obviously I've got a fuel problem. It looks as if I'm into changing out some injectors. What do you fellas think about getting some rebuilt units off EBAY? I've never had to buy injectors before. At least I've got a direction that looks very promising.
Thanks for all the help, I'll post the results, which I'm pretty sure they'll be positive.
