Order dates?

Exactly.. I highly doubt we're going to see any major changes on the 16MY truck. I think they'll debut the new truck at the auto shows in 2015 and release the truck as a 17MY in 2016.

My Fleet dealer just ordered my 2015 F-450 for me and said it would be one of the last in the order Que for this year. He said the 2016 would be available for order placement in March. He also mentioned that a possible issue for both my 2015 & the first quarter of 2016 SD's might be the production of the Dana Axles. Apparently there is a real shortage right now.

A 6 year refresh cycle is not unusual for heavier duty Ford trucks. When the light truck line was first split up into lighter duty and heavier duty versions in the late '90s, the Super Duty front fascia, dashboard, etc remained the same without a refresh for 6 production years, from 1998 through 2004. While there was never a "model year" 1998 Super Duty, virtually all of the "Early 99" Super Duties were manufactured and delivered to customers in 1998, so it counts, as far as time between refreshes.
Previously, the F-250-450 Ford truck front fascia and dashboard remained constant for 6 production years, from 1992 through 1997.
Prior to that, the Ford brick nose front end and dashboard remained unchanged from 1987 through 1991, or 5 straight years, which is only 1 year shorter than 6 years, but consider that the previous period was 1 year longer than 6 years:
The 1980 full body redesign remained unchanged for 7 straight production years, from 1980 through 1986.
Nothing too unusual here.

It has been my understanding for quite a long time that the new Super Duties would be considered a 2017 model year. I never understood why the FTE moderator who started this forum last summer entitled it "2016", because it establishes an expectation that may disappoint. I logged my protest to the forum name back in August of last year....
As far as the moderators go, none of them "started" this forum. Starting / creating a new forum on here can only be accomplished by Administrators or IB staff at or near the top of the food chain. Lowly Moderators and Super Moderators don't have those magical powers.

Ah, I see. I never knew the difference. As a lowly enlisted rank and file member, all officers appear the same from my view below deck. I've never even visited the bridge, much less figured out who is running this ship.
The only thing I know is that if I leave Javascript enabled, FTE causes my computer to visit 56 other invasive websites without my knowledge or permission. I'm pretty sure that kind of sneaky peeky sniff and track comes from the snoopy data miners at IB, and not moderators. But I thought forum content control was under the purview of moderators. Thanks for correcting me.

Considering refreshing work trucks cost you more money without providing you more work I'm not sure the why there is excitement. I say stretch em out and focus on more flexibility or better performance.
On a side note.... the 2017 gas will have the 6 spd transmission! That will take a big bite out of the diesel market as the transmission is the bigger limiting factor currently. Good stuff.
