Plug for in cab tank filler neck

I want to remove my in cab tank and put a rubber plug where the filler went through. Does anybody make these? The truck already has an Aux tank to luckily it's just a straight removal. Yeah, right!

I just left the filler neck there and put a locking cap on it so no one accidentally puts gas in there .

I believe There was a plug to go in the filler neck hole on a exploded parts view I seen posted here before. Maybe for a big F series been awhile so don't quite remember. Also many others made a piece and welded it in but you'd only want to do that if your getting ready to paint it or don't mind painting it and it being mismatched

Thanks for the info. I tried McMaster Carr and they didn't have anything big enough.

I saw one of those cap plug at PnP a few yrs. back in a bump. I never thought of getting.

Kind of figured since, I've seen a few of them in the pass 20+yrs of scrounging around junk yards that ford had made or stocked them. I Figured if, I ever needed one.
I'd just weld up and be done with it. Maybe someone has one sitting on the shelf like "nos"

I guess should have gotten it, I know a few guy on site have been wanting..

I haven't seen any vendors that repops the plugs so chances are you won't find any aftermarket ones. Maybe if you find a company that specializes in making body plugs they might have a size that fits. I don't know why nobody makes them for these trucks. I'd think they would sell pretty good from all the others that asked the same question about how to block off that hole. Orich those plugs would sell like hot cakes if you would of grabbed them at the Pnp

Here's my 2 cents: At Home depot in the drain assembly plumbing parts isle, they have clean out caps that have a hard plastic piece with a rubber disk. When you tighten the wing nut, it expands the rubber to tighten in the pipe...kind of hillbilly, I know but that's what I did in my 70 I used to have. Keeps drafts and moisture from entering the truck.

I think there must have been an in cab tank delete option. I've owned a couple 3/4 tons with only the frame tank and the rubber plug in the cab filler hole.

1969/72 F100/350: Ford offered an optional factory installed tool compartment that took the place of the in-cab fuel tank.

The optional 25 gallon factory installed auxiliary fuel tank then became a mandatory order for an obvious reason.

And...1967/72 F100/750 Crew Cabs did not come with an in-cab fuel tank. Came w/a inside the left frame rail mounted 17 gallon tank instead.

C7TZ-8144554-A .. Plug-Use to fill hole for in-cab fuel tank filler pipe / Obsolete ~ 1967/72 F100/750.

KAMA OBSOLETE PARTS in East Bethel MN has 1 = 763-434-0123.

No Ford dealer, no other obsolete parts vendor has any.

Interesting never heard of that. So no 67-72 crew cabs came with in cab tanks at all? My 71 was almost all original and it had a gas tank in it looked like it was there since new. Also the 69 I had also had one. Why wouldn't crews have one from factory but single cabs did?

recalculate the shipping. I grabbed one and it was only $10.99 after shipping
