Rich I also want to say thanks for what you've done in helping folks here. I also don't post a lot but I bought a membership because of people like yourself.

Just a thought on your tires.... my previous set was doing the same and my tire guy said to run the air pressure up to near maximum on the pressure stamped on the tire sidewall. I was always fearful of doing that but he said that's where they're designed to run at.

I bought new Hankook's two years ago and they look the same as the day I bought them.

Sorry to hear of your woes, Rich. And I would also like to thank you for your help. It gets to be damn frustrating to have a problem that you just can't seem to conquer.

Wishing you the best on it.

Either works for me, and I'm not laughing. Since you're 7 hours away, I'd have to fly home. I wouldn't ask my wife to follow me with the Prius that far in the winter. I'll mull on that a bit. Of course... driving that far would shred the front tires even more than they are already. I wonder if I can rent tires here in town.

I really appreciate all the well-wishing guys, it's helpful. Christmas is coming and family is going to get some Buck$Zooka blasts - Stinky's grounded.

If I win anything at auction in the next few weeks I could bring my trailer up and grab it...

But who knows, everyone knows my luck so... LOL

Wish I would have gotten your message when you were in town...

Probably not as much as I do.

You guys are great to offer all the support. I've got some thick bark, but three years of whittling is sapping me.

As intelligent and thorough as you are Rich, you'll figure it out.
It's an inanimate object, & It can't beat you.
You just haven't come across the issue yet.

As my auto shop instructor used to tell me back in the day "don't let that truck kick your a$$"

Also to add to Franko statement, change those shocks. They probably have a life time warranty anyway. Then rotate the tires, you have to buy new front anyway and it won't be a cost to you. Some brand of tires just cuff on these trucks no matter what.

Wow, Rich. Right when I thought we had everything on track down here in Reno with mild adjustments and Stinky was good to go for another couple hundred thousand miles and then I see this. Sorry bud. Don't blame you for taking a break and so you know I couldn't even turn on AE if it wasn't for you!

Yeah... I was feeling pretty warm and fuzzy, then the drive home was one catastrophe after another. I forgot to mention an injector prairie-dogged as well. I guess hot-torque and the wrong Loc Tite (ran out of my usual Loc Tite) wasn't good enough. We couldn't leave Bend until the ice under the truck at the hotel melted, it was too slick to set the ladder up and it was cold out there.

I'll be taking pictures under the truck while troubleshooting, and posting them on a separate thread.

As I understand this, the advice is "throw new shocks on there". So replacing my one-year-old premium Gabriels at the place I have the warranty will square this away. They will put in another set of premium Gabriels - if I can convince them the first set is bad.

This is what a newb should do if he were to click this thread and use it as a course of action?

I've installed countless sets of injectors...

I've never used lock tight on ANY of them.

Rich, I have had tire cupping issues on my truck 2 times since the truck was new in 2000. Both times I pulled the shocks to check there condition and found a bad one. 3rd set of shocks in 100k. I don't think they will replace the shocks unless you show them you have a bad one.

Just seeing the tires should prove bad shocks. If not they would have to show you bad ball joints or other things to cause this. Just check it yourself before they tell you something that mitt not be the case. I always change my own and never had problems at the parts store.

Wellll.... I've had a few days of just focusing on Stinky's nose, and I have a plan to correct that problem - based on all the useful input from my brothers on the forum.

I was going to call Joe and Cody this weekend, but I was preoccupied with a pile-O-projects at home. My Garage has been reduced from 5 Gorilla Racks of stuff to 4. 3 more to go. Getting rid of the sail boat, kayaks, and motorcycle in the spring will clear 2 of them.

*12/25/2014 EDIT* - closing this out, a total front and 4-wheel alignment and some Moog camber slugs cleared the vibration. Now I wait for results on tire wear. Nice Christmas present.
