Good point, but I'm pretty happy with the 6 speed after driving the 4 speeds for years!

Agreed! I was very happy when I got my 2011 F-150, It was the first vehicle I ever owned that had more than 5 ratios lol.

Yep, that six speed is a big leap from the four speed. I've driven the Ram with the 8-speed, and I thought it was a pretty nice transmission. I have every confidence that the future Ford Transmissions will be at least as good.

Didn't realize people even cared what motor trend has to say. It's a car magazine where the authors write about how great the vehicle they have a personal bias towards is. Then they try to find a fact our 2 to toss in that supports their view. Most of the time they can't even find a fact so they make up tidbits like it feels faster or looks better. What a bunch of jokers.

I think it's a good choice. I've owned Ford Ranger's for years. This weekend I'm going to test drive the new Canyon. My Ranger is an '06 that runs great with only 50K on it but I'm ready to upgrade.

I use my truck for going back and forth to work and getting small loads. I don't need an F-150 or the payment for that.

Everyone who is flaming the Truck of The Year wouldn't be flaming it all if it was the 2015 F150.

I narrowed my choice to a 2014 F150 and a Canyon. Right now the more I look the Canyon is the better choice for my needs and check book.

Sorry but you are %100 wrong. I will always "flame" Motor Trends test procedure because it has an inherent bias. I don't know how many people on this forum make purchasing decisions for their company. If you made them they motor trend picks winners you'll find yourself looking for a new job.
