I think I'm going to make a second one like that. The idea of a "PYRAMID" garden that takes up less space but still has a lot of growing media and room for plants is fascinating.

It looks almost like a fountain, but doesn't have a water pump eating up electricity

Strawberries streaming down the side with a blueberry bush center in the middle....I like how that sounds.

Garden is sprouting real well with all this rain. We've had 3.5 inches since Wednesday and it's supposed to rain this afternoon and again Saturday night. I might actually get an opportunity to mow the forest that has grown around the homestead tomorrow.....

I need to hold off mowing until the grass dries a bit - an electric mower has limits.

Something else about the centipede grass at this point is that it has a tendency to form tufts or crowns and is much thicker than normal grass - so I may have to revert to a gas mower with taller than ordinary wheels.

I spotted a lot of corn sprouts out in the "side of the road" garden and may have melon sprouts soon also. Gotta be careful about going out into there, but I'll do some light weeding to improve their chances until they can overtake everything else in the patch.
I'm sure "Masanobu San" would approve...

Rain is on the Plan of the Week for many days to come, but hopefully not too much.

* I ran across an acronym in a Clive Cussler book I have been re-reading: "DORK"
~stands for "DOn't Really Know"

So I'm in DORK status for now

the garden is sprouting just about everything I planted now. The cooler, wet weather has seemed to slow down the peppers and tomatoes some.

Corn is coming up kinda spotty - but once it gets taller it will be easier to tell where it needs more seed set in place.

I'm working on a line of containers on the front (south) side of my house.

I'll be putting some tomatoes and peppers in containers in a few weeks....once they go on sale. It will give me tomatoes and peppers all the way up to and into winter if I take some inside.

Tomatoes are starting to look good. The bean plants are also growing nicely as is the squash.

The peppers didn't like the cooler weather earlier, but this heat is making them happy.

The Hawthorn Tree has also bloomed.

Well, the return of rain has prompted an unwelcome resurgance of weeds in the garden...guess I'm going to have to make some time to clean it ups, so the good plants aren't choked out.

I have just picked the third They have already "paid" for all the seeds I purchased. I haven't even started harvesting squash, cucmbers, tomatoes or peppers yet. And I've also picked 3 large salads worth of leaf lettuce.
