1988 f150 bed mounts

I have my bed bolted directly to the frame. There is no bushings. Just flat paper thin pieces of plastic that go between the bed and the frame.
O----I know the pain that you will go through when replacing the cab mount bushings. I used a home-aid puller out of steel pipe I made and ended up stripping a bolt out. I ended up cutting the entire cab mount bushing and bolt.
I took the bolt to Fastenal and they had nothing what I needed. I ended up getting a piece of All-Thread, nuts, and washers. Worked out good.
I don't know what you can use for your bed to raise it up. Maybe some one else can chime in.
Good luck to you.

Getting the bed off isn't too big of a deal at all. You'll need to take the six bed bolts out; 2 near the front, 2 in the middle, and 2 near the back. Then go under the bed and disconnect the filler neck from the fuel door to the tank (or both if ya have dual tanks). After that I'm pretty sure there's a wiring harness for the taillights you just need to disconnect and you're all good. Someone may add anything I forgot but yeah. Myself and two buddies removed my old bed off of my truck one morning after football in the summer, its not too heavy.
Good luck, I assume its a body lift as your putting em under the bed?

No body lift, doing a 4" lift I just got in the mail over my xmas break. While I have things apart, I thought I would do those too. Apparently there isn't much between the bed and frame. I am actually taking the bed off to paint frame, do fuel lines, fuel pumps and sending units. Since truck is 26 years old I am replacing a lot of the old stuff, weather it's bad or not. I hunt a lot and don't like to break down in the middle of nowhere. When truck is done I will sell my 2 diesels and move on. I don't tow anymore so they are both going.

Nothing goes between bed and frame other than some thin plastic sheets(sometimes) other than that it bolts straight to the frame. After the energy suspension bushing are installed, you may need some washers as shims for the bed to get everything to sit level. The ES bushings are not quite perfect

When I did my bed swap, those plastic washers were wore out so I left them out. I got tired of the squeaking bed and used the inner tube as a replacement. No more squeek!
