2006 Ford Explorer Coolant T fitting leak

Has anyone ever replaced or installed this tee for the coolant, I can not find a part number, does it come with the hoses attached? or just the tee? Mines spring a leak at the fitting and I can't tell if the hoses pull off or are they welded and have to be cut off. I haven't been able to find the part# on Ford or parts counter websites so don't know if I can replace it as a whole assembly (preferred) or just replace the T fitting.

From my experience, when the exploded view diagrams don't show an area exploded, that's because it's sold as one piece. The connections in the fitting appear like the molded hose fittings typical where a rubber hose mates with a plastic fitting as an assembly.

There are times when an exploded view diagram does show a piece exploded, but then have a box around multiple pieces with a single number pointing to the box to designate that everything in the box is sold as that single part number.

Thanks for the info. It appears NAPA has the whole assembly but the website doesn't say how much (maybe has to be ordered) or another forum said Ford charges 189 and that was an older thread. I might cut the fitting off and use a T fitting, what do you think of that?

Judging by the image, those are formed hoses as well which make some pretty tight radius bends. Using a Tee and standard heater hose may be difficult to get to fit correctly without kinking and restricting flow. Even $190 for an OEM hose would be less expensive than a head, engine, or maybe even tow due to cheaping out on the hose and overheating the engine.

I ordered the NAPA part and found out a few days later it is no longer available. I did the T fitting for now (carefully) and depending on whether I keep this I will probably get the Ford assembly which 2 hose sets from what I got from the parts guy. It retails for $225 but I see them for 155-180 online (Amazon or Ebay).

Yep ! this is an old post ! I just saw it and think I have a quick answer for similar issue with plastic ftgs for heaters. I did this on an old 93 windstar for the front heater ftgs to the engine connections. Go to a box store (home depot?) and get a proper size "T" ftg with some screw in adapters for the hose connections, then buy some bulk heater hose. Works great and cheeper and more durable. Hope it helps.......!!
