2002 F-350 Altitude Adjustment

Well I finally got the itch scratched that I have been thinking about for several years. My 2002 F-350 just crept up and passed the 100,000 mile mark and I thought it was time to treat her to a new set of shoes. After many years of eyeing trucks with a set of 35" tires, I finally went and did it! I went with the Pro-Comp 4" lift. The 18" wheels are used ones from Craigslist that I bought a year ago for $400 because they were a great price. The tires are via my son who works at a local Les Schawb Tire Center and had been searching for a set of 35x18's for me. The Toyo Open Country M/T's have over 80% tread remaining and I was able to get them for $125 a piece. The lift was put on the day after Thanksgiving and took roughly 9 hours to install by myself. All in all, I am quite happy with the attitude adjustment of my truck. It was right at a 5" total lift with the lift and the tire difference.

Looks great!!! Your truck is the same as mine cept mine is white and has 160K and a dent. Maybe we could trade since you are not using yours enough. (It's just a very small dent).

Your garage is awesome too. How big is it? Mine is just under 1,000 square feet and has an additional 200 square foot tool "wing". Door is 20X10.

woodnthings' shop during a GTG - the 7.3L Mecca. He has a central shop vac, with a hopper big enough to sit in.

I heard you guys on the wet side got some snow... we just have cold and dry so far. That looks real sharp - so clean. I'm curious how everything will track now, and if you get any suspension/driveline symptoms.

So far it drives and tracks well. I have the alignment tomorrow at my sons work. I did shim down the carrier bearing, so we will see how it all goes after the tweaking.

They are sold at several places including Costco. Sort of a work scaffold.

In my experience, they tip when you lean over the engine too far. I'm a fan of securing it to the hook on the front of the truck. They may not be all that useful on Ken's lifted truck now, I have this for Stinky: [LINK]

Light enough to lift with a pinky, and it has a good grip on the ground - but max capacity is 225 pounds. A few holiday meals could have me shopping for another ladder.

They are a werner brand work platform. Most hardware stores have them available. I like using mine and it works well for me. My truck is the one on the right.
