those frame twist tests tend to ignore many other factors people dont want to pay attention to.
yeah... he wants to claim the stiffer frames on the chevys and dodges are better because the loads more stable. Which yeah ill give him a little credit there..
But then went onto say how that stiffer frame will "pull" a 30,000 lb trailer thats trying to tip over back up right.. A. Wrong.. B. VERY WRONG.. 30000lb trailer is not going to care how stiff your 7000lb truck is. Especially seeing as your 30,000lb trailers center of gravity has nothing to do with it being attached to your truck.
To which i then moved onto the fact that how those flex test are inaccurate.. Yeah they show how flexy the frame is.. but the people who want to point to that fail to realize that in doing so not only have you now changed the weight distribution from 2 wheels to 1. its now adding more stress to that axle to push that load (since he wanted to discuss having 7000 lbs in the bed) along on that single axle. The axles are designed to EVENLY DISTRIBUTE the weight across both sets of wheels not 1. Ntm now with 1 wheel up in the air youve also decreased the amount of traction you had in half. Which if you have an open diff thats not a good thing. WELCOME TO WHEEL SPIN!!..
Then he wanted to get into how the 3500 ram and chevy models could do 30,000 lbs while ford was only good for 15000.. apparently he hadnt seen the specs for the 2015. which the 6.7 is testing 40,000lbs with no issues in the 350's and 5th wheel.

Sounds a lot like my blow-hard BIL. Thinks he knows everything, and 90% of the time, doesn't know dick. People like that drive me nuts.
Well, time for me to head down to the North Omaha coal plant, I have to take some instruments down there. Have a good one, guys!

Good morning guys, welcome to the last work day of the week (for me, anyway!) No white crap at the house this morning, except for a skiff on the kids truck. Theres a tiny bit more up here at the plant, but not much.
Yep, coal plant. My company owns 2, along with the nuke, and 2 gas turbine peaking plants.
Heck, I'll pull him around with Black, she's only a -250! And mostly stock......Mostly......
