that is what I like about vacation days..

 

We get vacation pay twice a year.

 

We get it when we take our days. I have to take 4 days next month or lose them..

 

Quite a few here don't take many holidays because of the fact we don't get any pay when we are off.

 

If we don't take ours, the days are lost as well as the money.. So it pays to take them..

 

Yep in that case I would take every day I could.

 

I plan on it.. The first year I worked there I lost a couple days because I didn't take them.. They really didn't explain the repercussions of not taking them or even letting me know I had any..

 

I think that gets overlooked often. In some companies it saves some money.

 

Where I worked before they would force us to take vacation to keep the bottom line in sync.. Vacation time came out of a different bucket.. So ever quarter we would have to take a weeks vacation.. The good thing was I got 4 weeks a year when they started that.

 

I think I get up to 4 wks. now. I normally only take one of them. I only work 3 days a week how much more time off do I need.

 

that is for sure. If I could get paid for them I might take less.. We do get paid for holidays that we don't take..

 

If a stat holiday falls a day we work we get it off with pay. If it falls on a day off we get paid for it.
