It's that time of year - Wipers

Anyone found a GOOD wiper blade out there? I have used Bosh, Rain-Ex, and a few others, on a number of different vehicles as well, but none seem to last very long. I have had some expensive ones chatter right out of the box, drives me nuts. We have a pretty wide range of temperatures here 100's plus to near zero or below, so I don't expect the world. Is one season too much to ask? The rear window wiper on my 4Runner works like new and it is 7 years old!
Any suggestions?

I buy cheap ones and keep an extra set in the truck. When they start to go I'll give them a couple scrapes with my knife but that doesn't last long. I just change them and then get a new set to put under my seat.

The Icons have worked well for me; as have the RainX wipers. I keep a dirver's side extra in the trucks as I've been caught in a storm with a broken wiper and that sucks......although it's amazing what a t-shirt and duct tape can do to get you home....

I had the same problem with chattering blades on my '97 Thunderbird.
I was advised to super clean the glass with soapy dish wash soap and a 0000 steel wool pad a couple of times, install new blades and that would be fine.
I did this and I have to admit it bot I use the cheap blades now here in Florida and just change them once a year, nice, clear and no chattering!
Expensive blades don't really seem to hold up much longer than the cheap ones here with our extreme heat, humidity and our rainy season.

if you're going 24 bracetless bosh will not work.
I use 24 kleenview cheepos and the work great.
Even the 24inch ones are great.

I like the Trico Force blades. They have spoiler looking deal on them that forces the blade to the windshield at highway speeds. I always replace my blades before snow season starts just out of habit so I don't know how long they'd last, but I've always gotten a year out of them.

For roughly 4-5 consecutive years, Bosch Icons, 24" DS and 22" PS... I always get a full year's life from them. Usually get a tiny line after about 6 months as if the rubber edge was chipped, and not always in the same place on the windshield or even on the same side, but the little line doesn't bother since it's not a smear, and have had zero chatter issues over a year's life on them.

I have Silblade's on my F350 going into a third winter and they still work well. A little pricey, as I recall the best deal at the time was through Amazon.
