I think it'll work out well for a first set of wheels. It looks like it needs and output shaft on the transfer case replaced, and the rear ujoint of the front drive shaft. Someone made a mess of the stereo wires too.

However, it's a smooth running little truck.

Hmm I never new they made a ranger with a 2.3 and 4x4 combo. Its a great little motor.

I didn't either until I bought this truck. Here's some info on the 1989 Rangers:

Never heard of the two sparkplug deal in auto engines. Aircraft engines had been doing it for a long time.

It has been kinda common for a while. My 1985 Nissan hard body pickup had them and my 2000 ford ranger sport 2.5 had them as well
