Howdy fellas. Been in the garage all morning - and now I seem to have pulled something in my back...ugh...

 

Morning Bill. Been there, done that. I hate it when that happens. Also hate it when someone else gets to play in the garage all morning, and I don't!!!LOL

 

Hey Pat. Believe me, if I had a choice, I'd rather not be...but, taking advantage of the situation at hand. Gonna sit here with a heat pack for a bit and see if things settle down.

 

Ice/hot pack works ok temporarily, but really you need to look into some hard stretches as well. I was doing dead-lifts with weight I shouldn't have even been looking at yet yesterday in the gym, and woke up today sore as all hell. Stretching definitely helps, and you can do it while watching the tube. Google back stretches, and get some off a body building website. It's not just for gym rats, but everyone really.

Also, get somebody to take a rolling pin to it, it's like a massage, but it helps roll the muscles out. It can be a bit painful at first, but afterwards, it's like a new back. And it works wonders for just about any muscle, and it's free. Just some stuff I picked up from doc(medic) and the meatheads that frequent the gyms more than I do.

 

I know all the stretching stuff, since I spend a lot of time in the gym myself. Used to do a LOT of powerlifting - 500+lb deadlifts, 400+lb squats, etc. The heat helped immediately, gonna go stretch out here in a few and see if that helps some more.
