I hounded my dealer to get me the VIN number and build date, now I'm gonna leave him be until about a week after the build date week is over to see if they hit any snags. Like a back ordered item.

Might be into 6.7 super duty territory, but comparing Platinum trim to Platinum trim has it about $61,000 for a F150 to $70,000 for a F350. You also get a lot more technology on the F150 compared to the super duty. Obviously the 6.7 is a huge portion of the price difference, but once the super duty gets the same level of technology the F150 has now the price will be up near $75,000 I'd bet.

If it is anything like previous Ford redesigns, they'll likely hold the first 5-25 thousand built (QC) and then start loading them on trains and trucks (for local dealer deliveries).
I wouldn't expect any 2015's to hit before early Jan. except for dealer demos/inventory to have on hand for test drives etc.

QUOTE: Ford is filling up empty parking lots with 2015 f150's in and around the metro Detroit area, looked at sticker prices on about ten trucks, cheapest one I seen was at about 48 for an xlt with options, platinum's crested 61,500, solidly into 6.7 superduty territory!

Dealer lots or parking lots?
Parking lots like the one at the former ford plant on Sheldon road that used to make hvac for ford cars, about 20 minutes from the Dearborn plant. I have seen none on the local dealership parking lots yet!
