A good HID will come with a relay harness. The ONLY company I would recommend to get HID stuff from is The Retrofit Source.

160 for 9007 kit, not a bad deal. Definitely looks well put together!

I went with ANZO. These are top quality, add a new harness with relay, and you will see everything. Add Phillips Extreme Vision bulbs, own the road. LOL!

From ANZO site - http://www.anzousa.com/ford-f-150-br...h-l-clear.html

Parts Geek has them also - http://www.partsgeek.com/9b9pymw-for...+Headlight+Set
This is what they make for our trucks. Not too crazy about tail lights. I'd rather use bright high-power Cree LED's bulbs for the OEM tail light lenses.

Bulbs used?

OK I,m sold on getting rid of my fogged out lenses. My question is on the marker and turn signal clear lenses what bulbs did you use to keep them amber in color? Just a amber bulb? Also has anyone used LED in these 2 locations.
Thx everyone this has been a very informative post.
Merry Christmas to all !

I went a system from V-Leds.com

they are what you call switch backs, so they are white when running lights are on. and turn amber when you engage the turn signal.
best part is they are legal. least in alberta anyway.

V-LEDS way to go! Use their bulbs also. Cree LED's are used by VLEDS. I had clear lens, but decided to go back to amber lens and OEM side marker lens. I like the more subdued look with higher wattage Cree LEDs.

Those look nice. Can you post a picture or 2 of them in action?

Thax for video Puddy, very effective,
I have to check if those white leds are legal in Ohio . I may have to have amber to meet dot regulations..
How did you align head lights after replacing units or did they align to factory specs?

factory specs, just remove the adjustment backers off the old unit, and install on the new.

Very cool! Did they require any canceller or ballasts to run them correctly?

The kit had everything to plug and play. They did have a small ballast for each side.

Cool, thanks! Just one more thing to mull over, if it's worth the expense or not.

Honestly, I think it's just a wow factor... If you have clear turn signals it's ok for more lighting.

Great thread! Doing this retrofit today. Purchased the DEPO lights from ebay and all other stuff at local parts house.

I have a couple of questions....

1. In the link provided in one of the posts Whiter Whites, Brighter Brights - Ford Trucks are these the correct procedures to follow?

2. Where (a pic would be great) are you placing silicone to avoid condensation? Is this on the new DEPO lights, as they look well sealed? How about silicone on side marker and turn signal housings?

3. In the link, there is an option to wire up with toggle and push button switches, high beam on at same time as low beam (toggle switch) and flash high beams (push button) ...has anyone tried this and what were the results? Any link to thread on how to do it?

Thanks
