Those with t500

Happy thanksgiving everyone!

Did your pump come with a new gasket? I ordered mine directly from terminator and didn't receive a gasket. On riffraff's site it shows the gasket like its included. Now I can't get a hold of anyone at terminator. My emails bounce back saying full inbox, and get no response when filling out a comment on their contact webpage.

I wanted to get the new pump in on Saturday but don't want to pay $45 to ford. Maybe if I order from Bob ($25) it will get here by Saturday afternoon for a Sunday install.?

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but I think that would be wishful thinking unless you're very close to Bobs. Is worth the extra $20 to get it done this weekend? It would be to me.

Good luck.

Ryan.

Unfortunately we are the only company that includes the mounting gasket and offers free shipping, but you have to purchase through us to get it. Try talking to the parts department and see what they can do you for since they are trying to charge you over even the list price of $39.40.

Hope you are able to get it figured out and have a Happy Thanksgiving.

And this is why I love Riffraff Diesel! Probably the only sponsor going out of their way and posting to help people on a holiday.

This is one thing I've learned about dealing with Clay: He adds those little extras to make sure our toys are ready for install. Examples of my yellow tape moments:

Fuel pressure gauge - he included the adapter to mount the sensor on the fuel bowl. How cool is that?

T500 - the gasket was in the box, and the site suggested I get the HPOP connector tool. My selection also listed the option of new HPOP hoses on the page, in case I wanted the truck to handle the upgraded ICP pressure without blowing all my oil on the road in 2.5 seconds.

Fuel line check valves - there was a big alert to notify me that I would need the collar seals, If I still have the stock fuel lines.

Got yellow tape? You're in good shape.

Tousley sells it for $26. Perhaps if you print that page, your local dealer will come down on the price. Can't hurt to ask, anyhow.

I would have got it from Clay but can't have the truck down, and with a two week lead time with no core it wasn't an option for me. But with the way it's going down that's what I should have done.

I am about 40mi south of Bob, but I'll call the parts guy tomorrow and see what he can do.

You get it taken care of? Interested in your thoughts on the T500 as I'm seriously thinking of pulling the trigger. thx

Sometimes you get a guy at the counter that just slams you for whatever reason I try and come armed with Internet price + shipping. And at this point I say " you know, I really like to support my local dealership when I can but at that price I just can't do it. I can get it for this including shipping, how bout you meet me somewhere in the middle. 9 times out of 10 they drop the price and everyone's happy.

I guess I'm just a cheap SOB?

Yes, got it installed on Sunday. It wasn't fun. I had five days off for the holiday and Sunday was by far the coldest day. It didn't get above 25 degrees, so it took about 5 hours to get it done. And I lost the black spring for the frx. I need to talk to Clay about ordering another.

I'm definitely happy with the pump, but it does expose another issue that I need to track down.

I ended up paying ford the list price of $39 for the gasket.
