A Holliday Wish, and thank you.
It's Thanksgiving eve, and thus the start of the Holidays. I would not only like to wish everyone and there loved ones a safe and enjoyable holiday season, but also a sincere thank you to each and every member, including our hard working and dedicated moderators, of FTE. You all provide me, not only a reliable source of information, but also a sense of belonging, and friendship that is rare and very important in my day to day life. Many of you have car or truck buddies to hang out with and enjoy working together and that's wonderful. I, and suspect others do not have anyone locally to hang with, so You are all my truck buddies. I never feel alone when I take on a new task, your all just a click away, ready and willing to walk me thru my latest nightmare. Thanks everyone and have a great one.

Jim, when I read your initial post, I couldn't wait to tell you how your positive attitude and your heartfelt sincerity have helped make FTE a huge part of my life. I live in a fairly remote area on an island and 12 miles from the closest town or gas station. I do all my wrenching alone. I was pleased to read along and see so many others before me saying what I also feel. God Bless and have a wonderful Holiday season.

Although I am relatively new here, I want to thank you Jim for this thread, and everyone else who has commented on it. And wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!
When I was a kid, I knew a lot of guys who worked on their own cars and trucks, and who were always around to give some advice and even a helping hand. We shared a lot of information, and most of what I know I learned then. Over the years and miles, I have lost touch with most of those guys and where I live I don't know anyone who does their own work. I'm sure there are some about, but I work too much to go out and socialize and meet people like the guys I grew up with. Having you guys here to toss ideas at and get feedback from and read your ideas is something that has been missing from my life for so long I had almost forgotten what it feels like. From my heart, thank you all for the the wonderful information you provide to me and to each other (that I read extensively) and the comradery. You have all made me feel very welcome here!
