I have a 2008 6.4 diesel that just started skipping after I put a little fuel in it. The code is P0301 which is Misfire on cylinder 1. All indications pointing toward injector. Anyone had problem that may be fixed with a lesser fix ?

 

I moved this to the 6.4 forum. I would be checking the top mounted fuel filter for metal before I drive it any more.


I could just be a bad injector but they rarely go out on their own.

 

With the destruction these fuel systems are capable of if not corrected immediately, you need to get it squared away sooner than later.

 

Seeing as it started sputtering after filling up, I'd be sucking the fuel out, or at least taking some extensive samples.
