2011 to 2015 compare after 30 miles...

Picked up my new 2015 and I have a few quick impressions.

F250 tuxedo black lariat 4x4 with ultimate package.

* The tuxedo black looks better than the pictures show. I hope that I am up to keeping it clean.
* The brakes on the 2015 are much better than the ones on my 30,000 mile 2011. They might have been the same when the 2011 was new but tough and maybe not fair to compare.
* You can feel the increased power of the 2015 at every stop light. I'm someone that thought the 2011 was fast.
* Ultimate package sure makes the inside of the truck nice. Last truck was a Lariat without the ultimate package.
* Heated seats are nice (WI)
* I like the look of the Chrome Clad wheels but agree with someone else on FTE, it's a fancy hubcap.
* I have a lot of reading to do around the fancy nav package and mini computer this truck has.
* backup camera is a great option to have.
* No question that the transmission is smoother. I got used to feeling every shift in the 2011. Didn't bother me, it's a truck and should have solid shifts but the 2015 shifts like a car or SUV.
* Remote start. Something that I will use daily.
* The 2015 has SnowPlow Prep package on. Feels more solid but not more stiff than the 2011. Adds a slight amount of height to the truck.
* When I look under, I swear that the 2015 has larger rear axle blocks than the 2011. Is that possible?
* Although not a tough project, I'm glad the truck already has Cab Clearance lights on it or chicken lights as a friend always says.
* The 6.7L trucks really hold their value at trade-in time. New trucks are expensive though. They always have been and I suspect they always will be expensive.

Very nice looking truck!
Enjoy, I sure like my 2015 F350 after moving up from a 2012 F250.

Bruce, I've read on here that Ford went to using the "F350" rear blocks in the F250 somewhere about MY '14/15, more than likely in response to the "sagging rear" complaints many F250 owners were levying, so your eyes aren't deceiving you in this instance, safe to say.

I sure miss a black truck. I would be too afraid of getting that beauty dirty.

Great looking ride. It probably came standard with the F350 blocks for the rear.

Nice looking rig. You will be contributing to the success of the automotive exterior car products industry.

Got a black mustang and black Harley. They do keep me occupied during an idle afternoon.

2015 Power - wait until the odometer goes over 500!!!
Myself and a number of others have noticed a marked increase in power after the 500 mile mark - suggesting that Ford is holding back full power until that point.
God help me if there's another bump in power at 1500 miles - I might have to go back to drag racing!!!!

I was told this when I purchased my 2011 F-350. Power is reduced until 500 miles is accumulated.

The sales guy and the Service manager both said so.........???

I have not seen it in writing anywhere.........

Makes sense to me.......
I'll be putting well over 1500 miles on her before the 5th wheel gets hitched up.

I had just at 550 miles on mine when I hooked it up to the Fiver and drug it another 450 miles home... What an impressive truck..
