Black, Brown Plug Boots

Black, Brown Plug Boots
I am new to the V10 world, just purchased a 2008 F350 V10 with 34,550 miles . Sold my 2003 Duramax (260,000+), and just could not pull the trigger on a newer diesel, so here we go with the V10.
Going to be changing plugs, so was searching for info. Found out that the 08 V10's had the plug design changed with the 08 model year. However, as with all manufactures, they have to run out the older units (design) first.
For info, my sticker on the side of my valve cover (driver side) has a build date of 03-05-08, which lines up with my 03/08 build date on the driver door sticker. I can confirm that I have the BROWN plug boots, which SHOULD have the newest plug design (should not break or separate) per discussion here.
Having changed the plugs successfully in my sons 1998 5.4L F150, I will be tackling this job shortly. Hope this helps.
