Lots of kits out there. Try Googling "push button start kit".

Gary is NOT a fan of the new push button approach, for several reasons. First, my 2011 Murano came with it and I learned the hard way that double-tapping to turn the vehicle off puts it in ACC mode and EVERYTHING in the vehicle is hot, inc heated seats, heated mirrors, HVAC system, etc. So if any of those were on when you stopped they'll be sucking power as you walk away from the vehicle, and the battery won't last an hour. My sister-in-law found that out as well on her Murano.

Second, people leave the "key" in the car on those! My daughter did it on my Murano - once. And I've seen on the news where it is done frequently - and the cars are being stolen at an unbelievable rate.

So, when we bought the new GLK we got almost every option in the book but that one.

This isn't really a new thing. My 49 Ford has an ignition key, and a push button starter.

The Model T had a push-button starter (when the optional electric starter motor was installed) one activated it with the heel of their right foot.

Dang. I just replaced my ignition switch, but I can slap one of these stickers onto the dash for cheap!
