New 6.7L F350 with CEL and P24DA code

4500 miles on my 6.7 and have now thrown the P24DA code twice. CEL came on for a couple days. Then off for a couple. Now on again. Anyone else seeing this?

Planning to wait until I hit 5000 and have it serviced in the same trip.

From the interwebs:
Ford DTC Definition: Particulate Matter Sensor Exhaust
Sample Error Bank 1 Ford P24DA OBD-ii
Description:
OBDii Code: P24DA Ford P24DA OBD2 Address: 0x24DA
System: Powertrain Subsystem: Auxiliary Emission Control</pre>

I'm glad you're going to get this in front of your dealership, Mystic_Cobra. Send me a heads up PM when you're getting ready to head in and I'll loop in your regional customer service manager. In your message, include your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership. I'll take it from there.

Crystal

I would take this one in right away. Seems like it might have to do with the regen.

Thanks for the feedback. Nice to know I have you guys to bounce things off of. Going to take it in tomorrow.

Of course, I was planning to drive it out of town for the long weekend. Fingers crossed it's something simple.

I just realized I had my 6.4L for 5 1/2 years and never had the CEL come one once in 80,000 miles!

The diagnostics are a little, uh...........involved. For instance, they'll be checking for RF interference and/or electromagnetic interference.

Sales Advisor reported that there is a faulty fuel module that is going to take a couple days to get. They said it should not be driven so I'm stuck without my truck for the long holiday weekend.

Interesting how that code relates to the fuel module

I didn't ask for clarification on exactly what module was bad and what it did (since I'm not paying for it) but I will get the full story and report back.

It doesn't. Starting with the 2015, there is a particulate matter sensor in the exhaust. The code is for it.

Thanks for the info. And where would this sensor be located? In the DPF, before or after it?

The service advisor said that the particulate matter sensor is what has failed and the part is on back order with NO ETA. He says there are no replacement parts available and doesn't know when they can get one.

See now, I don't buy the story, if they are still building trucks on the assembly line, then the part is available. Simply put, PULL THE PART FORD...You have a customer waiting!!!!!!

I'm having the same issue currently on my 2015 F-350 Platinum, although the Sensor on mine just came unscrewed, there was some rattling for a few days and then all of a sudden it had the check engine and the code P24DA, then the rattling stopped so I went under and check and sure enough that sensor came unscrewed its a metal on metal screw in sensor. I screwed it back in and I went an bought a INNOVA 3130C scan tool to erase the code. Still having dealer check on monday.
