I have an opportunity to buy a 2000 white lightning from an original owner.
He has been a friend of mine for years, I was with him when he bought this truck new. It has 37,000 original miles, motor is still bone stock with no mods. The only thing he added to the truck was a lund moon visor,a hard lid tonneau cover and bed rug in the box. Inside and out the truck still looks new. He offered it to me for $12,000
any thoughts would be welcomed

 

That sounds like a good deal. Normally 99-00 go for around $8000-$10000. They had less power than 01 and up, plus head/taillights are same as regular f150s. From what I have seen, 12k for a 1 owner low mile lightning regardless everything else is a good deal. Your other option would be to pay about 14-19 for a 01-04. I would get the difference and put it into this truck

Sounds like a great deal paid 13k for my 02 with 90k on the odometer

 

That's not too bad. I watched around for over a year till I found a deal. Got my 02 with 32000 on it for $12,500.

 

just got a 2001 139,756 miles for 7,000

 

I would buy it at heart beat!
