I'm down for the count

I fell Saturday on ice and broke my right Fibula (that's the smaller bone in the lower part of the leg) When it broke it tore a ligament in the ankle so now I have screws in my ankle and a plate in my leg.

It was Ice and I fell on concrete. It could have been worse, I didn't hit my head or injure any other part of my body.
8 weeks ago I had umbilical hernia surgery and finally was getting to the point of feeling better.
I have a build going on here and I guess it will be on hold for a while. Maybe I'll have time to post pics of the build

Ouch! That sucks for air.

Take care of the leg and do all the seemingly dumb physical therapy they will hit you with. It really helps.

Here's to a speedy recovery.

Bummer hope you get better real soon. Reminds me of Jack Youngblood of the then LA Rams - he broke the same bone in first half hobbled off field took a roll of tape and bandaged it up. Play the complete second half then went and had the bone set.

Sorry to hear it, Kevin, but glad it wasn't much worse. The project will be there when you're up and around. Heal fast. Stu

Hate to hear such as that. Look at it on the bright side, when they remove those parts tell them you may need them for a truck patch. Yes, tell us about the build you have in progress.

I think this was the number 3 as I went to Kansas over Labor Day to pick up a truck (did a turn and burn 1800 miles by myself) Got home and a few days later I got sick (cold/respitiory) I coughed so much that I coughed out my belly button, so I got the hernia bell button fixed and about 3 weeks later the neighbors dog jumped up on me and his toe nail ripped upen my almost healed belly button.

I finally heal and start on a project and now this.

Wow, that ice really sucks! I left NY 4 years ago for AZ and I really don't miss the ice...

Good luck with the rehab, feel better!

Well, sorry to hear that. Good news, you broke it in the off-season of hot rodding.... so you will be up to snuff when summer hits

That really sucks. Back in 2010 I shattered my left femur. After a rod that runs from my knee to my hip was put in and a year of rehab I built the 48. Hang in there life will get better.
