Diagnostic Tool

I saw the Innova 3100 at Walmart yesterday and see that its available for under $90 dollars on line.

I want a quick and easy diagnostic tool without having to read more than a paragraph or two of instructions.
And something that can be stored away when not in use.

My question is if one of the exhaust filter sensors went bad would the Innova 3100 would be able to tell me which sensor was defective?
Is this the right, sufficient tool for that purpose?

the code can tell you which sensor.. just have to keep the little cross reference sheet with you.

Thank you. I think that I'll add one of these to the tool box.

It'll give you a dtc. That will give you a starting point. Sensor, sensor connector, wiring, or pcm is possible.
