What's your mpg on the v8 5.4?

I just wanted to see what other people are getting on the v8 5.4s. I have a 2000 f350 and I'm getting 10mpg. Is that normal?

On my 2010, I get 12.x something around town. On a couple of longer trips, I got 15~16.

not very good !!

I was gonna start this same thread..

When I bought this truck about a month ago I got 15mpg with mostly hwy and a little city driving (all stock)..

Now with the 285's on I barely get 10mpg but I'm driving a lot of city now...I also work out of Scranton so I'm pulling hills all the way down and back on the interstate....I drive just barely over the speed limit when I'm out on the interstate because the mileage is so bad..

With all that being posted I love this truck.

in my 02 CCSB 5.4 I get 10mpg and on the highway I get around 12 or 13. i also have 3.73 gears. im thinking about going to 4.10's gears. not sure if that will help MPG's but it help getting it moving a lot better

4:10's will get better fuel mileage in the city and if you drive slow on the highway, or if you tow a trailer. If you drive fast on the highway it will get worse fuel mileage. That was my experience.

Lol nice!

I averaged before my tires and lift roughly 13mpg mixed but mostly city. Also the 05+ 3v engines were much more efficient if I remember right, the 2v guys are kinda stuck where we are and can't improve really at all with tuning.
