I just picked up my 2012 king ranch f250 CC 4x4. I have been plowing snow now for a while and always like the joystick over the handheld control. My last 2 trucks, I needed to remove the center seat or console and rebuild a custom one. It always started as a prototype and never had time to redo.

This time I made sure I found a truck with the center console. I want to seasonally put the joystick control into the cupholder compartment. the joystick is a quick connect, so I just need to get the main wire into the area below the cupholders.

I will then build a removable box that is the same size as 2 of the cupholders and use the joystick in the winter and the cupholders in the off season.

Please don't tell me I need to remove the entire console if I don't really have to. I have read from several forums and threads, this requires removing seats. I want to be able to plow next month.

I was just hoping to be able to drill a hole in the lower cupholder area and fish a wire through to under the drivers dash. Would I have good luck doing that?

the cup holders come out.....grab them and pull out....there might also be a plastic plate under them that will some out also...
