lol Its a fixed wing airplane that is 'semi-autonomous'
Its illegal to have a fully automated aircraft...unless you're the govt.
For our advanced class at aero competition we need to drop a 3lb 'payload' from 150 feet onto a 10ft radius circle.
We are given the GPS coordinates of the circle's center.
Essentially we want our plane to self-stabilize and direct itself towards the center at the specified height and calculate when to release the payload.
Itll have a sweet camera mounted to it and display everything back in real-time to my laptop!

Yes essentially the aircraft will be flying directly into the wind and with the air speed sensor put that into the calculation of when to drop.
Of course it won't be perfect, but I think we have all of the variables included.
We'll know more once the plane is built and we begin testing stuff with the sensors mounted on it.
Building a bridge sounds cool! I did a toothpick bridge competition thing for scouts a ways back.

Come to find out a few years after graduation that one of our professors was affiliated with the engineering firm that did the final "real" design for the replacement of the bridge we chose (it was a 1908 steel truss bridge on a rural back road that was due for demolition/replacement). We did such a thorough job that they actually utilized significant portions of our project as a part of the final roadway realignment and bridge design.

Cabin? Hmmm, now ya got me thinking. Pulling my trailer to Texas twice this year is enough for me.
Nice one brodad!! I am stoked for you! Hopefully I'll get to see it in person!

We could come up with one hell of a monstrosity. Not sure how good or bad that really is, but it would be guaranteed to be as cool as anything out there though.

Nate, now you are gonna need some power mods to help pull the bigger camper! Yeah they have cabins there. Better reserve one befor there all gone. And i would say we could come up with something with a obs psd in it haha. As far as drones go, my work bought one to survey stock piles of coal, the pits, reclaim land and other ground. It has a camara on it and the images can be printed out in like a map form.

It will handle it. Is it the desired clutch for sled pulling? No, but it will take it. The clutch is a sprung hub ceramic DD. In a dedicated puller you would want a solid hub sintered iron dual or triple disc at least, but my little clutch will handle a few hooks here and there or launches at the track. It's the same clutch I run in my OBS and I've launched that truck in 3rd gear at 4000+ RPM probably 60+ times and it's still holding up just fine somehow. I didn't even do a break in on that clutch. It got installed and trailered straight to the drag strip. lol
Nice camper Nate! It does look to be in really good shape!
Well, Nate isn't the only one who got a new/used camper. I bought a 1990 32' 5th wheel. Going to pick it up Friday about 2 1/2 hours away. It is in pretty good shape for it's age. It has a brand new $1200 refrigerator in it and brand new tires on it. It needs a good cleaning but it's a solid old camper. It doesn't have a slide out, but it is a front living room model where the living room is up over the 5th wheel part. It makes a lot more room inside that way when there is no slide. The best part of it is I got it for $2300!! I couldn't pass it up for that price and as good of condition that it's in. I'll get some pics of it posted sometime this weekend after I get it home.
