Now that I am a bonafide Texan (again), I am thinking its a big possibility f or us. The wife is up for it. It just all depends on what job I'll have and how muh time school is taking up. I am roughly planning on it though. As soon as Travis gits his booty around here again, we'll start trying to talk him into it. Convoy!!!!

For the undecided, if you put out a little down payment to KOA and reserve a spot, they are great about refunds if you can't make it. Ask me how I know, LOL. It ended up a $10 charge in all. I just wish I knew what weekend it was for sure, we are all going on the assumption of third weekend in July, unless you guys know something I don't. CLAY, CLAY!!

We are going to try to make it a week. I spoke at length with Ben about his mountain ride and possibly staying at their campground, sounds very cool.
Like Bill said Nate, you WILL be there. Lol. Texas boys better be on the way north as well.
Phil, we will have our son there.
There was no apple pie there last time, but I may know where to find a few other flavors. Lol

Well, we will see what happens. I'd like to turn it into a week long vacation. That will probably be the only vacation I get this summer.
Step one in the process of persuasion was completed last night when I towed the "new" camper home. I'm looking forward to having the extra room, but I'm most looking forward to a much easier setup and tear down!

Two years ago we took a group up to that area for camping and such. There is an awesome whitewater rafting area just 20 minutes away. I also know another super State campground and a pretty good hike into a clear mountain stream with a deep pool to jump off rocks into the freezing water. It might be fun to add the whitewater if people wanted to come in a day early or something. It's kind of pricey, like $80 a person iirc, but it was worth it when we went. If you haven't explored the Smokies, lots of good stuff in that area. Also a HUGE knife store about 20 minutes the other direction....PSD guys gotta love knives.

I did both the upper new and the lower new on the New River Gorge. They ranged class 4-6 rapids. Its a freaking blast! There also was some cliff diving and zip-lining involved that trip.
And who doesn't love a good knife?

I refuse to go without my OBS. I've been wanting to start on it for a year, but I'm always working on something for someone else. I doubt I'll be able to start messing with it still for quite awhile. lol
